Tangled Exhibition, BACC

For friends who could not attend Tangled, I invite you to watch my (very) homemade video tour of the exhibition. Apologies as the video is a bit blurry in places and also sound dips out in places – this was a spontaneous decision which shows in its homemade charm.

This exhibition was organised by Love Wildlife Foundation and Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) to raise awareness on marine plastic pollution in Thailand and the solutions being created locally to support people and planet. A collaboration between environmental organisations, Thai artists, marine biologists, divers and supported by the Thai Government and international sponsors, this unusual show brought together many aspects to create a holistic view of the issue and the many conversations around it.

For this exhibit I travelled to Bangkok and created the installation ‘Under the See: Dugong’. Because the installation is created for the exhibition space I worked for a week to create everything from scratch, and install the sculpture in Bangkok Arts and Cultural Centre (BACC). Read more about the concept, research and installation of ‘Under the See: Dugong’ here.
