The Burning Time diptych was inspired by the night I drove through mountains during Chiang Mai’s smoky season, with fire lines burning just meters from the road. The intense heat, flickering embers, and the urgent efforts of villagers battling the flames are reflected in the painting’s palette—deep cadmium red and Indian yellow evoke both fire’s destructive force and its eerie beauty. Swirling forms reminiscent of water and fire intertwine, capturing the tension between chaos and resilience, destruction and renewal.

Printed using the giclée process on 200gsm archival matte paper with museum-quality inks, this print preserves the richness and detail of the original artwork. A beautiful and affordable way to bring original art into your home. Striking both on its own or can be paired with Burning Time 1 as a diptych.
